How to Call Your Mom Using Google Voice

Blog Introduction: Ever wanted to call your mom but didn’t have her phone number handy? Or maybe you just didn’t want to use up your minutes for the month. Whatever the reason, there’s an easy solution: Google Voice. With Google Voice, you can call any number in the US or Canada for free—and your mom will just think you called her from your regular phone number. Here’s how to do it.

First, open up the Google Voice app on your phone. If you don’t have it installed already, you can download it for free from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Once you have the app open, tap on the “Contacts” icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then, tap on the “New contact” button in the top-right corner.

Enter your mom’s name and phone number into the appropriate fields, then tap on the “Done” button in the top-right corner of the screen. Now, whenever you want to call your mom, simply open up the Google Voice app and tap on her name in your contacts list. The app will then connect you with her—for free!

There are a lot of great things about Google Voice, but one of our favorite features is its ability to let us call anyone in the US or Canada for free. So next time you need to call your mom but don’t have her phone number handy, remember that you can use Google Voice to do it—she’ll never know that you didn’t use up your monthly minutes.
